Minimalist Meets Boho

The thing about LA is just how damn beautiful this city is. I mean yes of course, it has its gritty parts; but the creative energy that exists out here will always turn that gritty-ness into a form of art. Like the Sunset Pacific Motel which used to be a hotbed for drugs and illegal activity, was re-interpreted by an artist and has become what now is known as the "Bates Motel" to locals. He painted the entire building white, including even the surrounding palm trees. While the motel itself was closed down years ago, the art still currently stands until demolition. It's almost like a ghost of the past, and super cool that we got to see it while it still exists.

Lately, I've been all about the minimalist oversized trend. I don't tend to wear colours until the summer, and then I'm all about the prints. But for now, my wardrobe's a hue of blacks, greys, and neutrals. While I keep my clothing pretty simple, I usually add a touch of my love of bohemian.

Beach Bliss

It's no secret that my favourite place in the world is at the beach. Lucky me, living in LA means going to the beach, even in February, is a thing. If I haven't told you yet how much I love you, California, this is it!

We spent our past Sunday at the dog beach in Long Beach. There's not too many beaches around where you can bring your pup right to the ocean, but this little place is perfect. If you like dogs and the ocean (I mean, who doesn't) check out Rosie's Dog Beach!

These Turkish towels from Cush & Co. are my favourite new go-to beach accessory. They're so lightweight, they don't make hauling my beach bag to and from such task. They're so soft and dry super quick, and I love they're minimalist stripe print.
