Happy November! How was everyone's Halloween this year? As the ultimate procrastinator/lazy girl when it comes to Halloween costumes, usually by the time I get to the costume store all that's left is some form of animal ears or witch hat. This year, I decided to make the most of what I had on hand, which included A) FAR too many flower crowns (thank you Coachella), B) Make-up, including blue shadow I will likely never ever wear, like ever, and C) Some leftover Flash Tats!
I've been captivated by the Día de Muertos (Day of the Dead) Latino holiday and tradition, which both celebrates and honours loved ones who have departed. Rather than to react to death with sombre fear, this holiday mourns the dead with a celebration of happiness and joy. Calaveras (skulls) are decorated with bright colours and designs. Such a beautiful celebration.
