The Plain White T's

Actually make that 4 ways, if you count my partner in crime Sydney of Sydney Factor Fashion! Who doesn't own a basic plain white tee? We wanted to come up with a duo post on how to style this staple in everyone's closet. I kept it casual with boyfriend jeans and simple heels for my first look, and all-white with pops of turquoise for the second.

1. Blue Jeans, White Shirt

White tees and blue jeans are an obvious couple. I took my much-loved Topshop boyfriend jeans and paired with basic black BCBG heels, chunky jewelry, and my new beloved watermelon bag.

2. White on White on White

White is absolutely my favourite colour to wear in the summertime, despite my being prone to spills. This tee is slightly sheer, so when worn over a white bralette creates a bit of a peekaboo effect. Turquoise jewelry always reminds me of someplace sunny or the summertime, and I love the look of turquoise on white. I threw on some orange lipstick (yes, orange!) and I'm ready to welcome summer.

In Love with The Beloved

Over the Canadian long weekend, I was lucky enough to jet off to Cancun, Mexico for 4 days. Now on a rainy Tuesday back home, 5 pounds heavier full of guacamole in Canada, I'm day dreaming about being back there.

We stayed at The Beloved Hotel, a luxury boutique four diamond hotel in Playa Mujeres. Our resort was quite a way from the main party buzz of Cancun, and being not much of a party animal, that's just how I like it. The Beloved Hotel is absolutely the most luxurious place I have ever stayed at, and especially considering it was an all-inclusive resort, I've never felt so pampered in my life.

Private casitas (get their own private pool)

Bvlgari products. Still don't know how to pronounce the designer but I know I'm keeping these!

This rainfall shower alone was my personal heaven. PLUS you can watch the flatscreen TV while showering.

This in-room jacuzzi tub overlooks the resort and ocean. AMAZING.

While some people would die over the selection of unlimited booze, I died over unlimited Snickers

Our terrace suite had its own private balcony pool

It's all about these little touches

A goodbye treat from the staff: chocolate almond truffles and strawberry tea

Spoiled silly right?? A LITTLE better than the typical Canadian Muskoka long weekend getaway, if you ask me. I hope you all had an amazing weekend as well. It's starting to feel a lot like summer around here, so maybe I should go work off that guacamole now. Have a great week!

The Badlands

I hate to complain, but where I'm from in the suburbs of Toronto, there is not a whole lot to look at. Lots of man-made developments, big box buildings, and just a whole lot of uninspiring views. Compared to my recent posts from the nonstop gorgeous views of California, even taking photos back home seemed like it would never live up.

And although it still doesn't, over the weekend I finally drove out of suburbia to a place I've been meaning to visit for awhile now. Out in Caledon, Ontario, there's a small stretch of rolling red dirt hills called the Cheltenham Badlands. The landscape comes out of absolutely no where, but it's a pretty neat place to explore (and makes for some great shots!)

I'm literally obsessed with this necklace by the way. You might have seen it already in Coachella snaps but it's so killer, prepare to see a lot more of it. I also LOVE my new gladiator sandals by Fergalicious. I've been on the hunt for knee-high gladiators (at a decent price point) for some time now, and I fell in love with there.

It's coming up to the (Canadian) May "Two-Four" long weekend and I'm SO excited. We've planned a little getaway somewhere with guaranteed beautiful views and sunshine. Wherever you are, get out there and explore, it's getting nice out! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend.
